How do you keep a good thing going? Many districts and schools have implemented evidence based reading programs and are seeing results in student achievement. They wonder how they sustain the practices they have put into place. Says Project Director Carolyn Vincent, "The answer is in thinking about the evidence based reading program in terms of the research on implementation. That research emphasizes that there are stages and supports that will take you to fidelity of implementation. Once you're there, then building the systems-policies, procedures, culture and leadership-- to institutionalize it is the name of the game."
