RMC Arlington Trains Family Literacy Programs Nationwide in Research on Early Literacy

Almost 2,000 state and local administrators from 52 states and territories attended the first federally-supported, research-based training ever conducted for the Even Start Family Literacy Program.

Participants learned about the latest research on language and literacy development of 3-5 year old children from nationally recognized experts, including Susan Landry (University of Texas Health Science Center) and Catherine Snow (Harvard University). The training was extremely well-received and received high ratings from participants. As one program director put it: Very high quality, excellent information. This is one of the best and most meaningful conferences I have ever attended.
